Edward Hutson

Edward Hutson (1873–1936) was a long-serving Anglican Bishop of Antigua from 1911 until his death〔(National Archives )〕〔''Obituary The Archbishop of the West Indies'', The Times, London, 23 October 1936; pg. 19; Issue 47513; col B〕 and, from 1922, Archbishop of the West Indies.〔(NY Times )〕
Hutson was educated at Codrington College and Durham University and ordained in 1896.〔“Who was Who”, 1897-2007, London, A & C Black, 2007, ISBN 978-0-19-954087-7〕〔"The Clergy List, Clerical Guide and Ecclesiastical Directory", London, John Phillips, 1900〕 He was curate of All Saints' Antigua and then the rector of St Paul's St Croix. During this time he was also a canon of St John's Cathedral and an examining chaplain to Walter Farrar, Bishop of Antigua, until he was himself appointed to the position.〔The Times, Friday, Sep 16, 1910; pg. 9; Issue 39379; col A ''New Bishop of Antigua''〕
